Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa proved he has the minerals after stepping up to take what could prove to be the club’s most important penalty this season, if not in their history, during their Premier League clash against West Ham on Sunday.

With referee Jon Moss adamant on stamping his name all over the title run-in and looking to steal some of Leicester City’s thunder, it had looked like the pressure had finally got to the Foxes. Jamie Vardy, who had given his side the lead with a superbly struck effort in the first half, was rightly given a second yellow after a theatrical dive in the box.

With Leicester down to 10 man for much of the second half, the inevitable waves of pressure soon came from West Ham. That pressure eventually paid off, as ref Moss came to the fore again, pointing to the spot after Wes Morgan was adjudged to have been a bit too grabby in the box.

Cresswell then gave West Ham the lead shortly after with a sublime strike from outside the box that flew into the top corner.

Making his final statement of the game, and perhaps making up for not giving Leicester a penalty after Huth was involved in a similar incident that had cost his side so dearly at the other end, Moss once again pointed to the spot with 94 minutes on the clock.
