Daily dose of banter the only thing keeping Jamie Vardy alive

In a remarkably candid interview, Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has admitted for the first time that the only reason he’s able to keep getting out of bed each and every morning is for his daily dose of banter.

Vardy came to the defence of England team mate Dele Alli who’s rumoured to be suffering with the same affliction after the midfielder “waved” a middle finger definitely in Kyle Walker’s direction and not that of the referee’s during England’s 2-1 win over Slovakia on Monday.

“Everyone has got to have a bit of banter, otherwise I don’t think you would get through the day of being a footballer,” sighed Vardy pining for his next spoonful of bantz.

Vardy refused to be drawn on whether kicking a ball about for untold millions of pounds, the adulation of a cheering crowd and swigging back bottles of WKD made it any easier for him to get through his day.

It is advised that anyone who comes in contact with Vardy, should offer him some banter if they can spare it. A simple middle finger will do, it might just save his life.

Dele Alli unveils controversial new wave

Dele Alli has shaken off his nice boy from next door image in emphatic style after revealing a bold new wave during England’s win over Slovakia at Wembley on Monday evening.

Gareth Southgate’s side came from behind to beat Slovakia after goals from Eric Dier and Marcus Rashford. However, instead of bemoaning England’s dull sleep walk towards World Cup qualification, the conversation has focused around Alli’s new wave.

Dele Alli during simpler, more innocent times.

Famed for the family friendly smile and wave Alli pioneered as he burst onto the scene a couple of years ago, the England midfielder has gone full circle with a new middle finger salute.

Alli debuted the controversial wave just moments after being body checked by Martin Skrtel and the referee waved play on. However, Alli insisted his middle finger was not aimed at the official.

“Just to clarify, the gesture was a joke between me and my good friend Kyle Walker, apologies for any offence caused,” wrote Alli on twitter.

After such a negative response to the new wave, it will be a real test of Alli’s resolve to see if he keeps using it.

Zlatan forces defeated devil to finally bend the knee

The devil, once feared the world over, has been left humbled after a crushing defeat at the hands of Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. On Thursday morning Zlatan revealed through social media that the devil has for once entered into an agreement which hasn’t cost anyone their soul.

Succeeding where god and so many others before him have failed, Zlatan has completed an historic peace deal which will last for a minimum of 12 months.

“I’m back to finish what I started” roared a defiant Zlatan. A message which is sure to send a shiver down the devils spine should he possess one.

As part of the deal, the devils team Manchester United, will be forced into playing for Zlatan, in an unprecedented role reversal. United could play their first game for Zlatan on the 28th October when the Old Trafford club host Tottenham, should the striker have completed a miracle recovery from injury as is expected.

Zlatan will wear the number 10 shirt which is predicted to fly off the shelves over the coming days, unlike pitch forks which have already seen a sharp decline in sales. The famous number 10 shirt was formerly worn by Red Devils favourite Wayne Rooney who is currently in purgatory, otherwise known as Goodison Park.
