Jose Mourinho goes on 7 minute rant after 3-1 loss to Southampton

“Referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea.”

And there we have it. Following Chelsea’s 4th loss of the season after being comfortably beaten 3-1 at home to Southampton, Jose Mourinho came out swinging in his post-match interview, but the source of his frustration was predictable.

After just one question, Mourinho went on a 7 minute rant, with the focus of his fury squarely aimed at referees failing to make the right decision – ie in Chelsea’s favour.

After 8 games Chelsea sit 16th in table. A paltry return for the sitting champions.

  • “Not achieve, keep his job, still be the king” now who could Mourinho be talking about?

“Not achieve, keep his job, still be the king” now who could Mourinho be talking about?

No prizes for guessing who Jose Mourinho was taking about during his press conference today ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Newcastle on Saturday.

Mourinho was in one of his grumpy, ultra passive aggressive moods presumably caused by all the fuss over Costa’s retro active ban. Asked about referees, Mourinho claimed that there were some managers allowed to talk about a referee before and after a game, and some that were not. Again, no prizes for guessing which group Mourinho thinks he belongs in.

In keeping with Mourinho’s not so subtle ways, we’ll also omit the name of the manager in question. It’s fun, all this reading between the line business huh?

Jose Mourinho: Same old Arsenal always moaning

Speaking after Chelsea finally got back to winning ways following a 2-0 victory over Arsenal, Jose Mourinho had little sympathy for his opponents who had two men sent off during the contest.

Mourinho said that “In the 15 or 16 times he had faced Arsenal, that only once had they not complained after the match.” Adding “I don’t know why, maybe because they won.”

Leading to this advice from Mourinho:

Jose Mourinho gives John Terry a consolation cuddle at full time

Sitting out and watching from the side lines might be something John Terry has to get use to this season after being left on the bench for Chelsea’s crunch match with Arsenal.

Chelsea went on to grab a much needed 2-0 win over their rivals with Terry’s replacement Kurt Zouma scoring the first goal.

As way of consolation, Jose Mourinho gave John Terry a big ‘ol pity hug after the full time whistle.

Joker Jose says Hazard’s missed penalty down to Rugby World Cup sponsorship

And there we all were thinking banter hand been banned at Chelsea.

Speaking ahead of the weekends clashes, Jose Mourinho defied the rules with a naughty bit of banter. Asked about Hazard’s missed penalty against Maccabi in the Champions League earlier in the week, Mourinho joked that it must have been down to a sponsorship deal to promote the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

    Long live the bantz.

  • “I’m not in hell, I’m not in heaven” Mourinho left in purgatory after Chelsea win

“I’m not in hell, I’m not in heaven” Mourinho left in purgatory after Chelsea win

Chelsea put recent poor displays in the Premier League behind them in what was a comfortable 4-0 win over Maccabi in their opening Champions League group match.

Goals from Willian, Oscar, Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas made for a pretty one sided affair at Stamford Bridge. However, speaking after the game, a pragmatic Jose Mourinho with his fate still in the hands of the man upstairs shrugged: “I was not in hell with bad results, and I am not now in heaven because we won.”

Mourinho’s fate might become clearer when Chelsea play Arsenal on the weekend.

“Click Google!” Mourinho’s response to doubts over his 3rd season at clubs

A fair bit of fuss has been made about Mourinho’s 3rd season at clubs, mostly that they don’t seem to occur very often. And now that the Chelsea manager is under pressure following his teams dreadful start to the season, once again his 3rd season record has come under scrutiny.

Speaking in a press conference today, Mourinho gets noticeably riled up when asked about his 3rd season record and responds by listing of his achievements that have come during those times.

Finally with the question still persisting, Mourinho snaps and tells the journalist to stop asking stupid questions and just use google.

The refugees are the one’s under big pressure sniffs Jose Mourinho

Chelsea lost once again today thanks to a surprise hat-trick from sub Steven Naismith. And, after the 3-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison, Mourinho was in his usual dismissive mood, steadfastly denying that he was under any sort of pressure.

Mourinho instead insisted that he thinks it’s “the refugees under big pressure, big pressure”. Referring to the ongoing Syrian refugee crisis, while deflecting attention away from Chelsea’s deficiencies.

Jose Mourinho makes sharp exit after question about John Stones

Jose Mourinho is not a happy camper of late, especially if you ask him anything to do with the one he missed out on – John Stones.

Speaking before Chelsea’s game at Everton, Mourinho walked out of the interview abruptly after a question about Stones and can be heard grumbling something about the interview being too long before the game.
