BT Sport will probably loose half of it’s Arsenal subscribers, after releasing an advert which focuses on Liverpool’s stunning 5-1 victory over the Gunners last season.

Jose Mourinho also pops in for a cameo labelling the result “unbelievable”.

At times during Germany’s 7-1 pummeling of Brazil, the defence was almost non-existent. It’s hard to tell the difference between this footage, where all of the Brazil players have been cropped out and the real footage where the Brazilian defence went so badly missing!

Brendan Rodgers on Luis Suarez’ departure

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers today issued the below statement following the announcement that an agreement has been reached with Barcelona for Luis Suarez to leave the club.

"Luis is a very special talent and I thank him for the role he has played in the team in the past two years, during my time at Liverpool.

"I think he would be the first to accept he has improved as a player over that period, along with the team and has benefited from being here, as we have benefited from him.

Liverpool statement: Suarez to leave

Liverpool Football Club today issued the following statement in relation to the future of Luis Suarez.

Liverpool FC confirms that Luis Suarez will be leaving the club after a transfer agreement was reached with FC Barcelona. The player now has permission to complete the usual formalities, which will then conclude the transfer.

The perfect reaction by Argentina fans antagonised by some Internacional fans

While tucking it to some local grub at a food court in Porto Alegre, a few Internacional fans thought it would be a good idea to antagonise the Argentina supporters which filled the place.

The Argentina fans response was swift and beautifully overwhelming. The noise cranks up with each minute that passes in the video, brilliant stuff.

OFFICIAL: Alexis Sanchez agrees to join Arsenal

Chile international striker Alexis Sanchez has agreed to join Arsenal Football Club on a long-term contract for an undisclosed fee.

Sanchez, 25, joins Arsenal from Barcelona where he made a total of 88 appearances, scoring 39 goals during his three seasons with the Catalan side.

With Barcelona, Sanchez won both La Liga (2012/13) and the Copa del Rey (2012), as well as the Spanish Super Cup on two occasions (2011, 2013), the UEFA Super Cup (2011) and the FIFA Club World Cup (2011).

The FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to reject the appeals lodged by both the Uruguayan player Luis Suarez and the Uruguayan FA, and to confirm the decision rendered by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on 25 June 2014 in its entirety.

Sergio Romero kept penalty notes stuffed down his pants!

Sergio Romero took his home work with him last night, as he kept notes, presumably on Netherlands penalty takers stuffed down his pants.

The notes obviously paid off as he saved two out of the 4 penalties he faced.
