EPLpod: Arsene Wenger is terrified of the transfer market

With the start of the new Premier League season just around the corner, its that time of year for Arsene Wenger to once again admit how scared he is about the size of transfer fees his minted competitors are willing to throw around. A comment that has Paul from EPLpod tearing his recently buzzed hair out, while Mike is happy to purr over the squad depth Manchester United now possess.

Listen to the latest episode from EPLpod as they continue to crank up the anticipation of the new season below.

3 Minutes into his debut and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is already scoring outrageous goals

Well, this is just about typical of Zlatan Ibrahimovic the big show off!

Never one to be accused of being understated, the Swede opened his Manchester United account by casually volleying home a scissor kick during a friendly with Galatasaray. A goal that should work wonders on his fragile confidence!

Quite an impact by the self proclaimed “God of Manchester” after just 3 minutes of football for the Old Trafford side. The type of goal that will only elicit him more worshippers.

Watch Zlatan’s superb acrobatic debut goal below.

EPLpod: Top 5 ugliest players in the English Premier League!

I join Mike and Paul in the EPLpod as we talk about the players with the kind of face only a mother could love and we dissect – extensively – the nutritional value of Pizza. Big shock, loading up on Pizza probably isn’t the best thing to do if you are professional footballer with a certain Pep Guardiola as your boss.

To find out who wins EPLpod’s ugliest player award for a second year running, listen to the new episode below. Oh, and if you still can’t get enough of EPLpod, we recorded the whole show on Periscope which you can see on the EPLpod twitter feed here. Madness.

Is Big Sam the right man for England?

0

In the first ever episode of Eat My Goal TV I take a look England’s sizeable new manager Sam Allardyce.

Is Big Sam the right man to get England fans dancing in jubilation once again? Or, will it be yet more humiliation after England succumb to another early exit from a tournament in a couple of years time? Find out which way I think it will go in the video above.

EPLpod: Paul Pogba on the verge of signing for Man United

I join Mike and Paul from EPLpod as we look at the new upcoming Premier League season. Mike can scarcely contain his excitement at Man United look to park at truck load of cash in Turin in exchange for Paul Pogba, whom they let leave Old Trafford for free a few years back.

At the opposite end of the spending spectrum, Paul needs consoling over Arsenal’s spend thrift ways (yes, shelling out £30m on Granit Xhaka apparently doesn’t really count!) and I go on a rant over Big Sam’s impending appointment as England manager. Tiki-taka bollocks!

Euro 2016: Portugal win Euro 2016, just like we totally predicted

Unlike Cristiano Ronaldo, Mike, Paul and myself just about managed to hold back the tears in the last ever episode of EPLpod’s Euro 2016 podcasts as we take in Portugal’s 1-0 win over hapless hosts France.

It all started off so brightly for France after Payet neutralised Portugal’s biggest threat (No, not those pesky moths) by giving Ronaldo a good old whack on the knee and Sissoko was putting in one of those “shop window” performances but they just couldn’t find a way past Patricio. How did Portugal pull off this win? When is the statue of Eder being erected next to Ronaldo’s? And has someone been on the rooster juice again? Find out in the last Euro episode below
