Northern Ireland v Mexico game abandoned after player kicked in the head
An Under 20’s Milk Cup match between Nothern Ireland and Mexico was abandoned last night after a Mexican player appeared to try a Kick a N.I. player in the head.
Four players were sent off which included three for Mexico and one for Northern Ireland after the violence erupted towards the end of the game.

David Nugent’s outrageous outside of the boot finish vs Walsall
David Nugent tucked away a rather superb effort during Leicester’s pre-season friendly victory over Walsall yesterday.
Nugent hits it first time bending the ball home with the outside of his boot. Leicester eventually won the game 3-2.

Cursed Steven Gerrard sets up Jovetic goal
Poor ‘ol Steven Gerrard. After that slip and the performance against Uruguay in the World Cup, he has seemingly picked up where he left off following another episode which saw him unfortunately set up Stevan Jovetic’s opening goal during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Manchester City.
Gerrard said before the match that the last 3 months had been the worst off his life. After tonight, the cruelty shows no signs of abating.

Seydou Keita refuses to shake Pepe’s hand, lobs water bottle at him
During Roma’s friendly with Real Madrid last night, Seydou Keita blanked Pepe and refused to shake his hands during the pre-match pleasantries.
Back in 2011, Pepe was alleged to have called Seydou Keita a “monkey” during a Real Madrid v Barcelona game, and it would appear Keita is still feeling aggrieved.
