Middlesbrough pulled off a surprise victory last night after they knocked out Manchester United in the Capital One Cup at Old Trafford.
With the scores still level after extra time, and having survived a late penalty claim against Daniel Ayala for handball, Middlesbrough progressed to the next round after England trio Wayne Rooney, Ashley Young and Michael Carrick all missed their spot kicks in the penalty shoot out.
Middlesbrough will face Everton at home in the quarter finals.
