Ex-Barca man Xavi made his debut for Qatari side Al Sadd last night, and it’s safe to say the surroundings were a far cry from what he is used to in Barcelona with only a couple of thousand spectators turning up.
Despite the complete lack of atmosphere, Xavi took only 11 minutes to provide an assist after swinging in a dangerous free kick into the box. Al Sadd went on to win 4-0.

Though he may not be surrounded by 90,000 fans, the buckets of cash will likely provide some comfort for Xavi’s loneliness.
