It may have been a charity match, and it may be a number of years since Robbie Fowler was competing in a proper Liverpool vs Manchester United game, but that didn’t stop the former striker from letting his marker “know he is there” with a robust tackle during last nights legends game.
Perhaps Fowler’s tackle, which was a typical strikers effort, was born out of having a frustrating night against his old rivals. Despite his trying to knock lumps out of United players, Liverpool went on to lose the game 4-2. Thanks in no part to a lovely dink finish from Karel Poborsky.
