With the experienced Petr Cech now between the sticks at the Emirates, Wojciech Szczesny’s loan to AS Roma looks like an audition for a permanent move, rather than an Arsenal stop-gap. And, during AS Roma’s Serie A clash with current Champions Juventus, Szczesny did his future prospects no harm.
With Roma 2-1 up following goals from Pjanic and Dzeko, Szczesny denied Juventus an equaliser with a superb reaction save in the dying moments of the game.
The save ensured Roma grabbed all three points, and leaves Juventus with no points sat in 17th in the table after two games.
