What a difference a change of scenery can make. For what ever reason, Angel Di Maria’s move to Manchester United for a British record transfer fee a year ago just never worked out, despite the obvious talents the Argentine posses.
Having ended his short stay at United with another big money move to Paris in the summer, Angel Di Maria looks as though he might be edging towards the kind of form we expect after a sublime assist from inside his own half against Monaco. Lavezzi supplied the finishing touch with an emphatic finish.
PSG went on to grab all three points in their Ligue 1 clash, brushing aside Monaco 3-0.
Time will tell if this is the beginning of a renewed Angel Di Maria, or a false dawn before he’s itching for another move.
