After Everton managed to squeeze past Barnsley in the League Cup 5-3 following extra time, one fan had some harsh words for want away defender John Stones.
As the young centre half made his way down the tunnel, the Everton fan roars at him “fuck off Stones, you rat!” Charming indeed!
Stones had handed in a transfer request before the game in order to push through a move to Chelsea. Despite this, the majority of visiting Everton fans gave Stones a warm applause as he left the field at the final whistle, as you can see below.
