You’d like to think that in an age where club loyalty seems to all but have vanished, that Marco Reus was genuine when he said it was a decision for life after penning a new Dortmund deal. You’d like to think that.
However, Reus’ words are surely one of three things:
1. A bad translation and this is not what he said at all.
2. His words are literal, in the sense that yes -just as with all decisions- this is in fact a decision of life. The same way deciding to question Reus’ sincerity is a decision of life.
3. It’s bullshit and he’ll be off to Real Madrid or Bayern in the summer, after admirably securing a better deal for Dortmund.
I know which one I believe it to be. Number 3, obvs.
