Following Inter’s 3-1 defeat to Sassuolo on the weekend, Mauro Icardi and Fredy Guarin thought that they would try to appease their disgruntled fans by throwing their shirts into the stands after the final whistle.
Instead of clamouring for one of the shirts, the fans, insistent that they’re disappointment couldn’t be bought off, promptly threw the shirts back at the players.
Icardi then thought it wise to start swearing at his own fans, and the contempt by footballers towards those that pay their wages was complete.
