Karamoko Dembele: The next Messi or the next Freddy Adu?

Freddy Adu, Cherno Samba, Sonny Pike, Tonton Zola Moukoko. If those names are familiar to you, it’s likely because of one unified reason: They were all touted as the next best young thing to strut their stuff on a football pitch but ultimately never came close to living up to the hype. Unless that is, you were playing Football Manager. Then Cherno Samba would have been getting all the headlines.

Step up Karamoko Dembele, the latest teenage prodigy to be hyped up to dizzying heights before he’s barely had a chance to come up with excuses for not doing his homework.

Having made a splash a couple of weeks back when the 13-year-old made his debut for Celtic’s under 20’s, Dembele’s ascension continued after being called up Scotland’s under 16 for the prestigious Victory Shield yesterday.

Will Dembele be the next big thing? Nobody can answer that because the kid is 13-years-old for christ sake!

However, judging by the video below, it will be fun watching his progress….

Touchline footage confirms Antonio Conte can’t sit still for a second

So who covered the most ground at Stamford Bridge yesterday during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Leicester City? Matic? Drinkwater? How about the relentless runner Kante?

Well, judging by the footage below, a more likely candidate might be Chelsea Manager Antonio Conte. In a time-lapse video captured from the stands, Conte can be seen prowling every inch of his technical area and beyond. The Italian also showed that he can kill a ball dead even if he is wearing a pair of fancy leather shoes.

As you can see from the video below, It’s exhausting just watching him.

36-year-old Tim Cahill still scoring outrageous goals

Oooff!! What an effort this is from “Timmy” Cahill.

Back in his homeland, the former Evertonian proved their is still plenty of spring left in his step after scoring on his debut for Melbourne City in spectacular style.

Out of absolutely nothing, Cahill let fly from miles out with a dipping volley that sailed over the Melbourne Victory Keeper.

Australia’s all-time leading goal scorer then showed off his trademark celebration by dispatching a flurry of punches on the corner flag.

Watch Cahill’s absurd strike below.

Antonio Conte definitely has a better touch than David Luiz

How’s your touch Conte? About as smooth and immaculate as the suit he wears on the Chelsea touchline judging by the below footage.

Chelsea cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win over reigning Champions Leicester in the early Premier League kick off on Saturday. So comfortable in fact, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was happy to indulge in a bit of show boating when he showed a sublime touch to control a wayward pass.

Not to be outdone by his boss, David Luiz showed off his magical touch which resulted in a face plant.

Never change David Luiz, never change.

Charlton’s League one game against Coventry got off to an unusual start after thousands of plastic pigs were thrown onto the pitch interrupting play on saturday afternoon.

Both sets of fans had united in protesting the ownership of their clubs with a march before the game. This was then followed up by the flying pigs shortly after kick off with fans chanting “We want Roland out” referring to owner Roland Duchâtelet.

Charlton’s protest against owner Duchâtelet has been going of for some time now and this is not the first time they have expressed their anger and frustrations. Back in April fans protested by throwing hundreds of beach balls onto the pitch.

When will Duchâtelet learn not to be a complete dick and get on his bike? Probably when pigs fly.

Watch footage of the flying pigs protest below.
