Barnsley won the Johnstone’s Paint trophy at Wembley on Sunday following a 3-2 win over Oxford United.
After the win, celebrating Barnsley fans serenaded some crest fallen Oxford fans by sitting in a line and pretending to row while chanting “You only sing when you’re rowing!” referencing the city’s particpation in the annual boat race against Cambridge. And, though it might not be the most stinging of chants, it’s certainly one of the more creative and humourous ones to be bellowed from a football fans mouth.
Barnsley do have form when it comes to singing funny chants, with the “He’s got a plant pot, on his head” setting the bench mark so far.
