Ref leaves Accrington Stanley fuming with the timing of his half time whistle

Ref-Whitestone-Accrinigton-goal
Referees, in general come in for probably way more abuse than they deserve. However, sometimes, you have to think that some of them might just be a little bit on the masochistic side, and are bringing it on themselves.

This can be the only explantation for ref Dean Whitestone when he showed some questionable timing during Accrington Stanley’s League Two clash with AFC Wimbledon. Just as an Accrington player was pulling the trigger to give his side the lead, Whitestone, obviously in a rush to get to his half time oranges, blasted his whistle to mark the end of the first half. Not before the strike, not after the strike, but right as the ball is flying into the back of the net.

Predictably, and with reason, the Accrington players crowded around the ref to vent their frustration. Presumably, they would have confronted him again at full time after the disallowed goal cost Accrington the win with the game ending 0-0.

Watch the refs impeccable timing below.
