Perhaps “robbing” is a bit of a harsh way to put it. Maybe sharing because it’s too much effort to come up with your own creative chant is more accurate.
On Sunday, with Mesut Ozil’s missing from Arsenal’s starting line up at Stoke due to injury, fans made up for his absence with a chant that was soon making the rounds on social media.

Now, I guess we’ll never know which came first, and really, does it even matter? Probably not, but covers generally take the shine off of it for me.
