We’ve all heard the story, and in fact it’s pretty much impossible to avoid talking about it when ever Jamie Vardy’s name comes up. No, not that unfortunate business of hime being a racist. We are of course talking about Vary’s non-league back ground and his rise to scoring in a record 11 consecutive Premier League’s games.
To mark the occasion, below is some footage of Vardy back in 2009 scoring a terrific solo goal after picking the ball up in his own half for non-league Stocksbridge Park Steels against FC United of Manchester.
On a side note, those shirts are far too baggy for 2009 surely??
