Remember when Roy Carroll got away with a right howler vs Spurs after inexplicably dropping the ball behind the line but somehow managed to get away despite it being a clear goal and the tell-tale guilty glance in the linesmen’s direction?
Well, it’s taken over a decade, but karma might just have caught up with the former Manchester United keeper in a quite ridiculously spectacular fashion.
Now plying his trade for Notts County, Carroll’s attempt to punt a long ball down field backfired epically after it rebounded off of the arse of Cambridge’s Ben Williamson and into his own net.
Cambridge, aided by Carroll’s blunder went onto win the game 3-1.
