David Beckham was given a rock star welcome in Dubai during the week, where he was opening a new adidas store presumably in return for a boat load of cash to add to the pile.
After a meet and greet with his fans, signing some autographs and generally looking as handsome as ever, Becks was put through the most pedestrian of interviews, giving the most pedestrian of answers – except for one.
After confidently batting away who he most enjoys watching at the moment, Beckham was asked who he thinks will win the Champions League this year. “Who do I want to win is a different story to who I think is going to win, well maybe it’s not actually” he teased, before finally listing three of his former employees; Manchester United, PSG and …..AC Milan. Whilst bookies like sboth are favouring the first two, the third won’t be on any betting list this season. The sharp one’s amongst you will have immediately realised that Milan are not even in the Champions League this year, so if they were to win it, it would have to go down as the greatest achievement in football history.
