Bayern Munich enjoyed a pretty routine win in their opening Champions League group stage tie with Greek side Olympiakos.
Thomas Muller scored an outrageous lob, (which looked suspicious like a cross) Mario Gotze got in on the act with a well taken goal from an acute angle, before Muller got his 2nd of the night, converting from the spot. The final scored ended Olympiakos 0-3 Bayern Munich.
However, it wasn’t quite the routine trip away for some sorry Bayern fans up in the stands. Prior to the game starting, footage captured Police brutally knocking lumps out of the Bayern fans with batons, without much in the way of apparent provocation.
Yes the clip is short, and who knows what happened before/after, but police beating the crap out of unarmed fans doesn’t tend to earn authorities much in the way of sympathy.
Nasty stuff.
