Rangers loanee Gedion Zelalem boldly claims he can reach the levels of Pirlo
Arsenal young gun Gedion Zelalem is nothing if not very confident is his own abilities. Having been shipped off up north to Rangers on loan, Zelalem is not fretting about his talents or Arsenal career.
Speaking during one of his first interviews for Rangers, Zelalem responded to comparisons to the likes of Andrea Pirlo by stating that he could reach the levels of the Italian maestro with some hard work.
“It’s obviously great being compared to Pirlo. Who doesn’t want to be compared to him? But I still have a long way to go to be at the same level as them. I definitely think I will reach that level” sniffed the humble upstart.

Ex Spurs dud Soldado scores again & grabs two assists for Villarreal
Not content with rubbing former employer Spurs’ noses in it after scoring on his debut, Villarreal Striker Roberto Soldado was the key man once again during Villarreal’s clash with Espanyol.
Villarreal came from a goal down to beat Espanyol 3-1 in Friday nights La Liga match and Soldado had a part to play in each of the goals. Soldado looking like a man renewed, now that he has put his nightmare stay at White Hart Lane behind him, scored once again to equalise for Villarreal before assisting the 2nd and 3rd goals.
Onwards and upwards for Soldado and Villarreal.

New £22m signing Heung-Min Son gives his first Spurs interview
Spurs have finally gotten the hands on a forward after splashing out £22m on Heung-Min Son from Bayer Leverkusen.
The South Koreans arrival will help take some of the burden off of Harry Kane’s shoulders who will likely suffer a little bit from the difficult ‘second season” syndrome after being so explosive in the Premier League last term.
Heung-Min Son operates on the left wing but can also play as striker. He managed to bag 29 goals and 11 assists during his 87 appearance for Leverkusen.

Ronaldinho flogs some more boots with rabona cross bar challenge
10 years on since that is it real or is it fake viral video where Ronaldinho repeatedly volleys a ball off the cross bar, the Brazilian is one again pushing product via the wood work.
Watch the video above to see Ronaldinho showing a bunch of kids in Brazil how it’s done by casually hitting the bar with a rabona.
Though, and this will surely appeal to all the conspiracists out there – notice that Ronaldinho’s rabona off the bar is not shown in one continuous clip, rather it’s two clips joined together.
Hmmmmmmm, a little suspicious that. Sorry if that ruins the magic for you! On the plus side, you can now pointlessly argue for another ten years over whether it’s real or not.

Peter Schmeichel turns his nose up at being assoiciated with Man City
Peter Schmeichel, who still looks like he could do a job between the sticks, rather than hosting the Champions League draw as he did yesterday in Monaco, gave his two cents on how the groups have shaped up for the English sides in the competition.
When reminded that he had a glove in both the Manchester camps, the big Dane scoffed at the notion, implying his allegiance was very much with the red half of Manchester and not the blue.

Gareth Bale breaks his duck after giving first interview in Spanish
Yes they seemed rehearsed and the accent needs a little work but Welshmen Gareth Bale has finally given an interview in Spanish after two years at Real Madrid.
Bale’s short and sweet message was “The fans are very good to me and it is a dream for me to play at Real Madrid. I give everything for the shirt and the fans.”
