The refugees are the one’s under big pressure sniffs Jose Mourinho

Chelsea lost once again today thanks to a surprise hat-trick from sub Steven Naismith. And, after the 3-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison, Mourinho was in his usual dismissive mood, steadfastly denying that he was under any sort of pressure.

Mourinho instead insisted that he thinks it’s “the refugees under big pressure, big pressure”. Referring to the ongoing Syrian refugee crisis, while deflecting attention away from Chelsea’s deficiencies.

Jose Mourinho makes sharp exit after question about John Stones

Jose Mourinho is not a happy camper of late, especially if you ask him anything to do with the one he missed out on – John Stones.

Speaking before Chelsea’s game at Everton, Mourinho walked out of the interview abruptly after a question about Stones and can be heard grumbling something about the interview being too long before the game.

How to take a free kick by Man United’s Juan Mata

In case you didn’t know, as well as writing a blog and being a professional footballer, Juan Mata has enough time on his hands to start his own Youtube channel.

In this, one of his first skills video’s, Mata shows us how ‘easy’ it is to take a free kick in three simple steps: First place the ball, second check out where the keeper is lurking and finally, contact with the ball.

Mata then proceeds to lash one home – easy peasy. If only. Personally, I think I could be come an expert at placing a ball and spotting where the keeper is. Unfortunately it all goes down hill when it comes to the critical third step of making actual contact with the ball!

We’ll be expecting to see more helpful tidbits in the future from Mata.

Man United rejoice in David De Gea signing new contract with highlights reel

The deal comes after the debacle that saw De Gea’s move to Real Madrid collapse at the final stage due to the paper work being late.

To celebrate the turn around United have released a highlights video of David De Gea making countless heroic saves, which their fans can now count on seeing reproduced by the keeper until at least the summer.

Mushroom picker Gerard Pique not sorry he always wants Madrid to lose

Barcelona defender Gerard Pique is having a bit of a rough time of it on International duty currently. Pique has been targeted by the boo boys over his affiliation with Barcelona and the whole Spain – Catalan dynamic.

And today, instead of quietly straight batting questions relating to the booing and whistling, Pique came out on the offensive with an unapologetic response:

“I’m not worried about the whistles, I’m more worried for my team-mates and the coach because I know he doesn’t like all of this. If I go here it’s for the national team, because we have to keep going to try and win titles.

“With Sergio Ramos I have the best relationship since I debuted with the national team. We have spoken about many things and he came out to defend me after the game, and in the mixed zone you say anything, because you go quickly. I feel very comfortable with him and playing with him in the defence.

“I have always had maximum commitment to the Spanish national team. Regarding the rivalry between Barcelona and Madrid, I am like this and I will not change.

“I feel very well. The sporting sensations are good and I am very positive. I am a happy man and yesterday I went to look for mushrooms. I filled three baskets and it rained so there will be more. I am a happy man and I hope to play against Atletico Madrid.”

Leo Messi ‘stars’ in god awful ad hawking a socks and bubbles game

Yes, you read that right. There is such a thing as a socks and bubbles game and Leo Messi has been roped into help sell it – not doubt for a bundle of cash – over in Australia.

The special socks you get with the game allow you to do keepy-uppies with bubbles because a football is obviously no where near as much fun.

Messi is far from the first to endorse some dodgy products, he follows pioneers such as Cristiano Ronaldo and his weird japanese facial exerciser contraption. Messi must have presumably been keen to keep ahead of his rival Cristiano Ronaldo on all possible fronts.

    Consider the stakes raised Cristiano.
