So, it would appear that Saturday’s squabble between Arsenal’s Gabriel and Chelsea’s Diego Costa was not the first time something like this had happened. Gabriel, received his marching orders, after kicking out at Costa who had been winding up the defender.
However, back in 2013 when Costa wore the colours of Atletico Madrid and Gabriel was at Villarreal, the pair clashed, but this time it was Costa who reacted with a sly elbow that lead to Gabriel hitting the deck, albeit a little too easily.
Perhaps this explains some of the fracas from the weekend.

Carlos Tevez snaps opponents ankle with nasty studs-up tackle
Now playing for Boca Juniors, Carlos Tevez scored twice, including a trademark rasping finish, as his side beat Argentinos Juniors 3-1 on Saturday evening.
However, Tevez’ brace was over shadowed by his horror, studs-up tackle that broke the ankle of Ezequiel Ham in the second half.
If you’re squeamish, it’s probably best not to watch Carlos Tevez’ ‘tackle’.

Chelsea loanee Mohamed Salah pulled Roma level during the Serie A clash with Sassuolo on Sunday with a stunning strike.
Unmarked on the edge of the box, Salah walloped a first time volley into the bottom corner. The fantastic strike earned Roma a point with the full time score Roma 2-2 Sassuolo.
Tip of the hat to Roma’s Francesco Totti who reached a milestone with his 300th goal for the club which you can watch here. -

Carlos Tevez scores a belter for Boca Juniors vs Argentinos
Carlos Tevez scored a great goal to give Boca Juniors the lead away to Argentinos.
Despite the defenders best efforts to marshall Tevez away from the goal, the Argentine still manages to wrap his foot around the ball, burying his effort into the opposite corner. -
Leeds United fans celebrate MK Dons win wildly as fan climbs stadium beam
Judging by this fan footage you’d be forgiven for thinking that Leeds had just won the league. However the cause for the all excitement was simply because they were happy to pick up a 2-1 away win over MK Dons in the Championship thanks to a penalty from Chris Wood and a cracking strike from Charlie Taylor.
After the victory, Leeds United filled an inner corridor of the stadium to give a rousing chant of “All Leeds aren’t we.” The celebrations reached a climax when a fan finally cocked his leg over a beam after much will he won’t be able to manage it.
All very endearing.

Zlatan dares to miss an open goal
Zlatan Ibrahimovic obviously didn’t fancy scoring during PSG’s Ligue 1 game with Reims on Saturday.
With the goal at his mercy after the Reims keeper had parried a shot, Ibrahimovic steered his header hopelessly wide.
Ibrahimovic’s miss proved costly as PSG could only manage a 1-1 draw. -
Jose Mourinho: Same old Arsenal always moaning
"I've played @Arsenal 15 or 16 times and only once they didn't moan." Mourinho claims #AFC always complain. #CHEARS http://t.co/1XzawAl5yT
— BT Sport Football (@btsportfootball) September 19, 2015
Speaking after Chelsea finally got back to winning ways following a 2-0 victory over Arsenal, Jose Mourinho had little sympathy for his opponents who had two men sent off during the contest.
Mourinho said that “In the 15 or 16 times he had faced Arsenal, that only once had they not complained after the match.” Adding “I don’t know why, maybe because they won.”
Leading to this advice from Mourinho:
