After kicking heels around the house for far too long, Sam Allardyce’s wife can finally get some respite after Big Sam insisted he’ll be married to the job for a while.
The new Sunderland boss, who has a reputation for fix it jobs, certainly has his work cut out as looks to turn the Black Cats fortunes around with the team one place above their rivals Newcastle at the foot of the table. -

Jordan Pickford proved to be an unlikely source for England U21’s second goal as his team brushed aside Kazakhstan 3-0 yesterday during a Euro Under 21’s qualifier.
After comfortably gobbling up a cross, Pickford then sprayed a sublime pass to Nathan Redmond, as the Norwich winger scampered away on the counter. Redmond then cut inside before calmly slotting into the bottom corner.
Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Arsenal’s Chuba Akpom added England’s other goals. England U21’s currently sit in 3rd place in their group after winning their opening two games, and have a game in hand. -
