Some Liverpool fans do the right thing and walk out of Anfield

    Liverpool-fans-protest-ticket-price
“Enough is enough, enough is enough, you greedy bastards, enough is enough!!”

That was the very clear message Liverpool some fans sang as they walked out of Anfield in protest at the rising ticket prices during their game against Sunderland.

As planned, in reference to the new £77 priced ticket at Anfield, on the 77th minute, a good portion of Liverpool fans walked out, leaving sizeable patches of empty seats around the stadium.

Unfortunately for Liverpool, their defence decided to join the fans by walking out on 77 minutes as they gave up what looked like a comfortable 2-0 lead to Sunderland. Hopefully that turn of events won’t put Liverpool fans off walking out in any possible future protests. Yes, a half empty stadium could have an adverse effect on a teams performance, but that is a price – no pun intended – and a risk Liverpool fans need to be willing to take if they are to force a change from the money gaugers up stairs.

This was a start from Liverpool fans, but it will need more fans to get involved. If they really won’t to make a mark, next time they need to leave on 7mins and 7 seconds.

Below are some of the videos and pictures of Liverpool’s walk out.

    Black flags before kick off.

Your life can only be better after watching Roberto Martinez bustin’ a move

    Martinez-dance-moves

His side might be having a disappointed season toiling away in the wrong half of the table, but when it comes to throwing some shapes, Everton manager Roberto Martinez is clearly in a league of his own.

Such is the age we live in, it’s virtually impossible not to be caught on camera the moment you let your hair down and start feeling the vibes at Jason Derulo gig, which is exactly what happened to Martinez last night.

Speaking this morning about the video, Martinez sheepishly admitted it was indeed him and he was quick to defends his moves “That’s the big bus & the smart car!” he honked.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic keeps busy on PSG bench with football boot Jenga

    Zlatan-boot-coach-head
If asked, PSG boss Laurent Blanc would likely play down his sides title ambitions much like any good coach should. He would say something along the lines of “We’re taking each game as it comes, and my team remains fully focused on the task at hands, nothing will distract us from our goals.”

However, with his side a whopping 24 points ahead of second placed Monaco, and having just breezed past Lorient, remaining unbeaten in Ligue 1 for almost an entire year(!), some players might be forgiven for taking their foot off the pace, just a little bit and losing some of that focus.

Case in point: Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Having scored a goal and with his side 3-1 up, the big Swede was taking off as a sub in the 71st minute. With a further 19 minutes of play left to entertain himself, Ibrahimovic dabbled in a bit of football boot Jenga, which to you and I means balancing a boot on the head of PSG assistant coach Zoumana Camara.

Watch the football boot Jenga action below, and just look at the concentration of Zlatan’s face. We can only speculate that he did indeed manage to balance a second boot before the ref whistled for full time.

Even Gary Neville was probably giving warm applause to this sublime nutmeg and turn from slippery Barcelona striker Neymar. Put it another way, you can’t imagine big ‘ol Alvaro Negredo pulling off quite such an elegant move to encourage Neville any time soon.

Neymar pulled off the glorious piece of skill during Barcelona’s 7-0 demolition of Neville’s hapless Valencia at the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.

On the plus side for Neville, at least he still has a second leg to turn this Copa del Rey tie around! That is providing he is still in a job by the time the second leg comes around.

Do you remember the time when a certain Donald Trump helped out Saint and Greavsie with the draw to the 1992 Rumbelows League Cup? No, neither do I, but here it is in all it’s glory.

“Oh Donald, you don’t know what you’ve done there” is presumably a remark we will frequently hear, should our friends in the US be crazy enough to vote the man into the Oval office.

Is Zlatan Ibrahimovic heading for the PSG exit door?

Come in, it’s transfer deadline day. Were you really expecting anything less than ill-conceived deadline day metaphors from me? It’s not my fault Zlatan decided to stretch against a door prior to PSG latest 2-0 win at St Etienne. He knew very well what he was doing.

Cristiano Ronaldo scores stunner on his way to hat-trick as Real thrash Espanyol 6-0

Real Madrid reconvened their prolific start to Zinedine Zidane’s reign after last weeks hiccup against Real Betis, by hitting Espanyol for six on Sunday evening.

Cristiano Ronaldo grabbed himself a hat-trick which included a brilliant solo goal. Espanyol will be sick of the sight of Ronaldo, given that 8 of his 19 Real Madrid league goals this season have come against them.

Real Madrid now sit just four points behind their La Liga rivals Barcelona.

Paul Pogba follows up solo goal with outrageous piece of control vs Chievo

Juventus made it 12 Serie A wins on the bounce on Sunday after seeing off the challenge of Chievo in a 4-0 rout. Paul Pogba bagged the final goal, putting the icing on the cake with a superb solo effort.

Pogba was unlucky not to grab a second with a powerful effort that crashed against the bar late on. The French midfielder had shown an outrageous piece of control in the build up which you can watch below.

Steven Caulker proves he’s quite ‘handy’ in the box for Liverpool vs West Ham

    Caulker-handball-Liverpool-West-Ham
Steven Caulker’s had quite an eventful time of it since he made a surprise loan move to Liverpool from QPR.

On more than one occasion since joining the club, Caulker has been thrusted into the unfamiliar position of a makeshift centre forward as Liverpool have chased games. And, making his first start today playing against West Ham in his proper position of centre half, Caulker was in the thick of the action once again, this time getting away with what looked like a double hand ball in the box.

Luckily for Caulker, the ref Martin Atkinson failed to spot the handball(s) and Liverpool now have the joy of adding to their already busy fixture list in the shape of an FA Cup replay at the Boleyn Ground, after the game ended 0-0 at Anfield.

Watch Caulker’s handy work in the video below.

What a way to introduce yourself to your new club. Having signed on loan just days ago following another loan period at Monaco, Stephan El Shaarawy gave just a glimmer of what he is capable of during his Roma debut.

With his back to goal El Shaarawy flicked a cross into the bottom corner to give Roma a 2-1 lead over Frosione.
