Euro 2016: New format is an unmitigated disaster of boringness

Mike and Paul from EPLpod discuss the latest round of games from Euro 2016, and the new format of the group stages has Mike enraged. Perhaps a good nights sleep can sort him out, and what better way to ensure that, than to re-watch the snooze fest that was France’s stalemate with Switzerland.

Euro 2016: France don’t look like champions

Man down!! Man down!! I join Mike in the latest episode of EPLpod’s Euro specials as we man the fort in the absence of Paul who is burying his computer in the back garden after it died presumably from too much porn from websites like https://www.nu-bay.com/categories/134/blonde being downloaded on it.

We discuss France’s late win against a battling Albania, Joachim Löw’s apology for itching his nuts and sniffing it on live TV and the continuing violence marring the tournament.

    Bale-Goal-Slovakia
Cometh the hour, cometh the man.

With the expectations of a nation firmly on his shoulders, Gareth Bale took no time to live up to the hype after firing home a free kick to score Wales’ first ever goal at European Championship just 10 minutes into their tie with Slovakia.

As soon as the referee awarded the free kick, you sensed that the position was primed for Bale’s left foot. Something the Slovakia keeper must have been fearing as he made a complete mess of it, diving the wrong way and caught off guard by the wicked swerve.

Watch Bale’s free kick in the below fan footage.

Straight outta Anfield! Liverpool players become World’s worst rappers

    James-Milner-Warren-G
Forget John Barnes’ majestic rhymes in New Order’s World In Motion, some unfortunate Liverpool players have been forced politely coaxed into
covering some hip hop tunes. Which, as you have probably guessed is only going to produce all kinds of terribleness which must be viewed.

The video includes Hip Hop luminaries such as “DJ Lov-ren”, “Nathe Dogg”, “Lil Joe” all spitting lyrics, though my personal favourite is James “Millie” Milner’s unnerving, straight up gangsta cover of Warren G’s regulate. Cold.

Divock Origi was probably the only one to save some dignity, ducking out while insisting “Ahhh, maybe if was east coast, maybe.” Quite right Divock.

Watch the Liverpool players droppin’ their rhymes below.

Warren G was unavailable for comment at time of writing.

Euro 2016: Will the Jamie Vardy lookalike ruin England?

Roy Hodgson has left out Premier League Champion Danny Drinkwater from his Squad for the Euros, but sick note Jack Wilshere makes the cut. Just what is the England boss smoking? Presumably the same stuff as Wilshere. Will France cover themselves in glory or will it be shame on home soil?
Mike, Paul and Ben sniff out the action with a Euro 2016 preview.
