Well, thats one way to avoid getting your marching orders! During Guingamp’s 2-1 loss against Montpellier in Ligue 1, Benjamin Angoua took issue with his goalkeeper getting a red card. So, the only obvious solution -as it’s long been proved that moaning and harassing the ref doesn’t seem to work- is to cut the problem off at the source. In this case that meant attempting to confiscate the refs red card.

Eventually ref, Philippe Kalt managed to shrug off the attentions of Angoua, and brandished the red for goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa. It’s early days, but with a bit more practice and persistence Angoua’s new tactic could well pay dividends.
