Charlton’s League one game against Coventry got off to an unusual start after thousands of plastic pigs were thrown onto the pitch interrupting play on saturday afternoon.

Both sets of fans had united in protesting the ownership of their clubs with a march before the game. This was then followed up by the flying pigs shortly after kick off with fans chanting “We want Roland out” referring to owner Roland Duchâtelet.

Charlton’s protest against owner Duchâtelet has been going of for some time now and this is not the first time they have expressed their anger and frustrations. Back in April fans protested by throwing hundreds of beach balls onto the pitch.

When will Duchâtelet learn not to be a complete dick and get on his bike? Probably when pigs fly.
