Ambitious Wayne Rooney looking to go far beyond Charlton’s goal scoring record

Speaking ahead of England’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Switzerland, Wayne Rooney admits he would be lying if he said he’d be happy with ‘just’ 50 goals for England.

Currently Rooney proudly sits level with Sir Bobby Charlton in the goal scoring charts on 49 goals, and has the opportunity to finally break the record in front of a home crowd at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

Believing he has plenty of games left for England, Rooney – in typical football speak –  is looking to ‘kick on’ and score as many goals as he can.

Do you think Rooney will break the record against the Swiss tonight?
